2019 – 2020 M.I.S.T. Bowler of the Year Points: Final Standings

2019 – 2020 M.I.S.T. Bowler of the Year Points

FINAL STANDINGS

Well bowlers, we just completed the 2019 – 2020 M.I.S.T. season, and the points race was one for the ages! This year’s Bowler of the Year race came down to the winner of the semi-final match in the last tournament of the season, it doesn’t get much more exciting than that! Congrats to Joe Colcord for winning this year’s Bowler of the Year title, leapfrogging Joe Ramsdell III in the final tournament. Tremendous job this season Joe! We ended up having five different champions this season (Bob Nile, Mike Klosin (2), Joe Colcord, Joe Ramsdell III (2), Steve Hardy Jr.), some super tough oil patterns, and of course some great scratch action on the lanes. Congrats to this past month’s winner Mike Klosin, becoming our second two-time winner this year, and on the toughest oil pattern test this season, the dual patterns at Bayside Bowl! Well done Mike! Our Bowler of the Year competition is sponsored by Moore’s Pro Shop, located at both Bayside Bowl in Portland and Sparetime Recreation in Lewiston. They are your one stop shop for all things bowling, from beginners to advanced they have you covered. Check out their Facebook page, or send them a message to set up an appointment, you’ll be glad you did! The winner of our Bowler of the Year points race, Joe Colcord, gets his choice of bowling ball professionally drilled by Moore’s Pro Shop. Also, the more important part of the points race, is to qualify for our season ending Master of the Lanes tournament. We take the top (16) in season ending points and put them head to head, in a best two out of three match-play format, to determine a champion that will represent the M.I.S.T. at the 2021 USBC Masters tournament. That tournament will be held at Bayside Bowl in Portland, ME. Here are the final standings after all seven scheduled point tournaments for the 2019 – 2020 season:

Bowlers, thank you so much for an exciting 2019 – 2020 M.I.S.T. season. It is because of you that this tournament series continues to thrive, and brings out the best bowlers in northern New England. I look forward to the Master of the Lanes event, and would like to congratulate all (16) bowlers who qualified. It takes a season long dedication to the tournament series and continued success on the lanes to qualify, so give yourselves a huge pat on the back, and I will see you soon for that event. Take care everyone, and good luck and good bowling out there!
